Team Building for Charity
Charity, CSR and Eco Team Building Events
Teams can leave a lasting legacy from their event by making meaningful contributions to charity and community groups. Sabre has many CSR / Charity approaches and featured here are brief samples only in the form of Team Toy Story, Whose Bike Is This Anyway?, Painting a Brighter Future, Eco Warriors and Street Survivors. To see more options or have one tailored for your group, contact us and let us know what you'd like to do?
Team Toy Story
Team Toy Story is a great opportunity to donate quality children's toys to a selection of worthy kid's charities.
Each team begins what will initially take the form of a competitive "out and about" Quest activity to earn their budget from a series of hand-picked team challenges.
Upon returning to the venue, massive toy stores are revealed and teams discover that their budget is to be used in a lively auction to buy toys that will be immediately packed into pre-labelled freight cartons. These are shipped to the charity that their team is buying for.
We have helped clients donate to a wide range of worthy end-users from disaster relief funds, local kid's charities and overseas orphanages.

Whose Bike Is This Anyway?
The 'Whose Bike' event starts off as a competive series of point winning challenges that will earn teams special bike parts for a mini "Tour de France" style race.
The "sting" comes once the bikes are actually built (and checked for safety), then suddenly representatives from the selected charity arrive to brief the group on their valuable work and to thank the group for the gift of these great kid's bikes.

Painting a Brighter Future
Painting a Brighter Future offers a unique opportunity for both a wonderful team building challenge, and to leave a lasting legacy from your conference or off-site.
Each team works to create their components of a large masterpiece themed to represent contributions that they will make to vital World Vision projects around the world.
These can include Child Vaccinations, Educational Packages and Teacher Training, Livestock, Bikes, New Mother Hampers, Solar Lighting, Mosquito Nets, Bikes, Clean Water Projects and much more.

Street Survivors
This is a noble, fun and very charitable twist on the reality TV genre.
Each team is initially competing for a victory that will ultimately resolve itself into the collaborative donation of some life saving street survival packs for the homeless. Sabre has partnered with Backpack Beds for Homeless to link this event to immediate help and relief for those sleeping rough.
In virtually all major cities providing shelter and dignity for the homeless can be a significant challenge. In this team building for charity activity your teams will leave a lasting legacy from their event by giving truly practical and immediate help to those in need.

Eco Warriors
Matching team activities with genuine environmental causes such as tree planting initiatives or wildlife conservation can be loads of fun, and also add a lasting legacy to your meeting or event. Being environmentally friendly, carbon neutral and aware of global warming are no longer just media hype, these are now serious issues about survival, sustainability and reducing our human “footprint” on the earth!
The Sabre team will introduce the programme and challenge the participants to become the ultimate Eco Warriors. The group is divided into their teams before being issued with their information packs and maps for a competitive team challenge based on balancing profitability with their environmental impact.
Each team must undertake a number of activities in order to earn Eco Credits. The better a team performs, the more eco credits they earn. Teams meet back at a central location for a final competitive challenge as credits are scored.
Winning teams are presented with their prize – sponsorship of native animals.
