The Gold Coast Broadwater was the scene for a maritime race that would rival the America's Cup for tactics and adventure (only on a slightly smaller scale).
After an unexpected raid in their meeting room at the luxurious Sheraton Mirage Gold Coast (from some very noisy Pirates), teams from Nuvasive set about constructing their own vessels from complex blueprints and some rather odd materials.
Having finished construction 15 minutes early (very unusual for this challenge and a sure sign of a great team) the boats were ceremoniously launched and raced on the beautiful Broadwater.
