Teams from the CSIRO recently participated in Sabre's "Picture Perfect" cross-functional painting challenge at the QLD State Library.
The total group was formed into smaller sub-teams each responsible for their own part of the "bigger picture", but with limited information and resources. There were also rules and constraints within which teams could network and communicate with one another.
High quality communication, collaboration and teamwork between teams was essential to have any hope of producing a coherant image that would look anything like what was intended.
The quality of planning and execution thus directly infleunced the end result.
In this case the final image (with an Australiana theme) was excellent and will serve as a lasting reminder of what great teamwork, communication and a shared focus can produce.
Well done!
