Keynotes on teamwork and leadership using Belbin provide actionable benefits for team dynamics and team performance.
Key themes can include:
Self-Awareness – Understanding the diverse behavioural strengths that people bring to a team.
Team Dynamics – How to achieve a balance of behavioural contributions and manage any gaps or overlaps within a team.
Leadership and Management - Making optimal use of behavioural strengths in these important roles. Where does my excellence run out? Who do I need?
Organisational effectiveness – The behavioural culture of an organisation and its potential impacts.
Belbin identifies nine important and distinct behavioural clusters that individuals typically adopt within a team. These behavioural roles, and which we prefer, provide deep and immediate insights into how team members and leaders interact, contribute, and collaborate, helping organisations build balanced, effective teams.
A keynote tailored for a client around the Belbin model brings rapid awareness to the importance of genuine diversity in behavioural styles. Importantly it then links to how to time and use them effectively at work. The model not only helps people to understand strengths, but also to see that the 'W Word' - weakness, is not a dirty word. It’s vital to be kind to ourselves for our 'allowable weaknesses', extend that kindness to others, and learn to better manage the 'non-allowable' ones.
At a conference, discussing how to use workplace behaviours to enhance team performance can be particularly impactful for teams, leaders, managers, and HR professionals alike. Actionable knowledge and tools are the focus as opposed to purely motivational fluff.
Keynotes on teamwork and leadership using Belbin will give people actionable tools for better assessing their own unique contributions and strengths, those of teams and how to better adjust approaches to enhance collaboration, reduce non-essential conflict, and drive better team performance.
